Storage guide

How to keep what we deliver safe and at its best, from the doorstep to the table. Where a pack gives its own instructions, follow those — they are on the label and on each product's page.
When your order arrives
- Put frozen food in the freezer straight away, and chilled food in the fridge.
- If a frozen item arrives soft or thawed, do not refreeze it — contact us with your order number.
Frozen food
- Keep your freezer at −18 °C (0 °F) or colder.
- Thaw in the fridge, or in cold water in a sealed bag — not on the counter. Many breads and snacks cook straight from frozen; the pack says which.
- Cook thawed raw fish and seafood within a day or two, and do not refreeze it raw. Once cooked, it can go back in the freezer.
Chilled food
- Keep your fridge at 4 °C (40 °F) or colder.
- Use it by the date on the pack, and once opened, within the time the label gives.
Pantry food
- Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
- Reseal it, or tip it into an airtight container, once opened. Pickles, sauces and some pastes go in the fridge after opening — the label says when.
